Screenshot mode allows you to create images from map viewpoints. Images are downloaded in Jpeg format. There are quality options available in Screenshot mode.
Screenshot mode relies on Viewpoints. Viewpoints appear differently in different size browsers. Resizing the browser window or using a different device may result in different image content.
How to open screenshot mode
On a project map, select the Screenshot mode symbol (camera symbol top-centre). The symbol will be highlighted. The first viewpoint will be shown. Screenshot controls will appear next to the map.
The map cannot be panned in Screenshot mode.
Zoom is for viewing purposes only and doesn’t affect the created image. Zoom level can be adjusted with the slider (bottom-centre) or the mouse wheel.
Any changes made to Map details, Overlays or Viewpoints in Screenshot mode are retained.
How to exit screenshot mode
From Screenshot mode, select the Screenshot mode symbol (camera symbol top-centre).
How to create images
In Screenshot mode,
- Select the desired viewpoint: under viewpoints, next to viewpoint name select View
- Update image dimensions and resolution scale (bottom-right)
- Select Save to files, the screenshot will be created as a jpeg file under Files
- Select Files
- Next to screenshot name jpeg select the more menu (three dots) then Download
If you don’t want to save the screenshot under project Files there is an option to Download Image which saves it to your device.
Image Dimensions are the pixel dimensions based on the selected viewpoint and browser dimensions. Changing width and height crops the image.
Resolution scale is a way of improving image quality for different uses. It multiplies the size of the downloaded image creating a sharper image than the screen can display. Sharper images will have a much larger file size.
