How to collaborate on a project

Cadence projects have a single project owner and can have any amount of collaborators who can edit the project. Collaborators must have a Cadence account.

Only one person can access a project at a time. The first person to open it has priority. If another collaborator tries to open the project while it’s in use, they’ll see a notice preventing them from accessing it.

On the Project, open Info to see who is the project owner.

How to add a collaborator to a project

Only the project owner can add a collaborator

On the Project

  • Select Info
  • Next to Collaborators, select Edit symbol
  • Search for someone using their user ID (this is not their email address)
    • Ask the person you wish to collaborate with for their user ID. This might be different to their username. They can find their user ID by selecting their username (top right).
  • Select Add [+] next to their user ID
  • Current collaborators appear on the right-hand side
  • Select Done to go back to the Project

Once added the collaborator will see the project in their projects list. It will have the collaboration symbol on the card. They will not receive a notification.

To remove a collaborator from a project

On the Project

  • Select Info
  • Next to Collaborators, select Edit symbol
  • Current collaborators appear on the right-hand side
  • Select Remove [-] next to the user ID of the person you want to remove access to this project
  • Select Done to go back to the Project
