How to share maps and stories

Share your maps and stories with colleagues, clients, or the public directly from Cadence. You can control who has access, copy a link, embed content in a website, or share via email and social media.

Share a map

1. Open the map you want to share
2. In the header, select Share map
3. Under Access level, choose who can view the map:
   • Anyone with a link – anyone who has the URL can open the map
   • Not shared – the map is private and only visible to you and chosen collaborators
4. Select the Share URL field to copy the link to your clipboard

From here you can also:

• Select Open to preview the map in a new tab
• Select Embed to get an embed code for use on a website
• Select Send to share the map by email
• Select Facebook, LinkedIn, or X to post the map directly to social media

The map must be set to Anyone with a link before recipients can open it. If you share a link while the map is set to Not shared, they will see a not found message instead of the map.

Share a story

By default a story is only accessible to you and chosen collaborators. Only published stories are accessible via the share link

1. In the left panel, select the Stories tab
2. Select the story you want to share
3. Select the Publish tab
4. If the story has unpublished changes, you’ll see a notification. Select Publish to publish the latest version.
5. Once published, a Published story field appears. Select the URL to copy it to your clipboard.

From here you can also:

• Select Open to preview the published story in a new tab
• Select Embed to get an embed code for use on a website
• Select Send to share the story by email
• Select Facebook, LinkedIn, or X to post the story directly to social media

If you make further edits after publishing, select Publish again to update the live version
